Termez – Tashkent train
Termez → Tashkent · 850 km
Termez, on the Amu Darya at the Afghan border, holds some of the oldest Buddhist and early Islamic monuments in Central Asia, and is an important stop for pilgrims to the shrine of al-Hakim at-Termezi. Two overnight trains go north: the daily 080 to Tashkent South, and a through train that stops in Tashkent at dawn and continues to the Fergana Valley.
Termez station is a short taxi ride from the city centre. The 080 arrives at Tashkent South.
Tickets are sold on the official Uzbekistan Railways site, eticket.railway.uz, and in its UzRailways Tickets app, as well as at station ticket offices. Every ticket is issued to a named passenger, so you need the passport number when you buy and the passport itself when you board. Sales usually open about 45 days ahead, and the popular departures sell out well before that window closes in spring and autumn.

Good to know
- — Both trains stop in Karshi and Samarkand in the small hours, which allows a southern loop: Samarkand – Termez by road, back by train.
- — The 130Ф continues into the Fergana Valley after Tashkent, so you can go straight from Termez to Kokand or Margilan.
- — Pick up food in Termez before boarding; there is little on sale on the train.
- — Allow extra time at the station: border-zone document checks can be thorough.
