Andijan – Tashkent train
Andijan → Tashkent · 375 km
From Andijan the fast train to Tashkent leaves at 07:20 on four days a week and in mid-afternoon daily, followed by passenger trains bound for Khorezm, Termez and Karakalpakstan. Trains to the Fergana Valley climb over the Kamchik Pass through a long tunnel opened in 2016, the only rail link to the valley that stays inside Uzbekistan.
Fast and day trains use Tashkent North (Tashkent Central). Margilan station is the rail stop for Fergana city, about 15 km and 20 minutes by taxi away.
Tickets are sold on the official Uzbekistan Railways site, eticket.railway.uz, and in its UzRailways Tickets app, as well as at station ticket offices. Every ticket is issued to a named passenger, so you need the passport number when you buy and the passport itself when you board. Sales usually open about 45 days ahead, and the popular departures sell out well before that window closes in spring and autumn.

- — The 15:33 fast train lets you spend the morning at the Babur museum or the Andijan bazaar.
- — Passenger trains through to Bukhara and Khorezm make it possible to go from the valley to the desert cities without a night in Tashkent.

- — Leave 30 minutes for the station checks; Andijan is a terminus, so trains board early.
