The same Silk Road without the 6 a.m. starts. Late breakfasts, more nights in each city, time simply to sit in a teahouse. Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand at holiday pace, not marathon pace, in a small group.
This journey is for travellers who want to see everything without rushing. You get two nights in Khiva, three in Bukhara and two in Samarkand, with sightseeing that often starts at ten and afternoons left free for a café, a bazaar or a nap.
The cities are linked by a short flight and comfortable trains, so there are no long days on the road. In Gijduvan you shape clay with a family of potters, and on the way we stop in Afshona, the birthplace of Ibn Sino (Avicenna). For each city your guide suggests places to explore on your own.
Groups are small, sixteen travellers at most, and every departure is guaranteed even for one person.
